mudflaps

so my truck was just impounded for no mudflaps they said they were tired of giving warnings. does anybody else have to deal with this type of ???.

been pulled over only on highways here, but yea i hear ya on it, been pulled over headin to sd cali and twinfalls idaho trying. but impounded? really? damn cop musta not had a good day or something man, i got a ticket for both times. guess i was lucky they didnt impound my truck

Yep, I got pulled over by Mesa PD here in Arizona and they said that it was an "equipment failure" on the truck so it was a ticktet. I hate that law, here in Arizona only trucks have to have them. You can lift a car feet into the air, and have a jeep or wagon lifted crazy high and not need them. Put a body lift on, and the truck has to have 'em. I hate having them on, and run with out them all the time.

 Anyways, here are the pics you requested....

 Here is the bracket, its a quick disconnect set-up. The bracket is mounted to the frame by bolts...

 

 You can see the mud flap in the bracket. The mud flad has square stock that slides into the frame mounted bracket. Once the mud flap in in the bracket a bolt and nut go through the square stock to ensure the mud flap doesn't fall out/off.

 

 Another photo. I don't have them installed so I have lost the bolt that holds them on, I'm sure it's in my garage somewhere.
