Lift Kits, Leveling Kits and Shocks

Suspension upgrades change how your truck sits, rides and handles. Start with your goal:

  • Leveling kits raise the front end to remove factory rake and make room for slightly larger tires.
  • Lift kits raise the whole truck for bigger tires and more ground clearance, from spacer lifts to complete suspension systems.
  • Shocks and struts control ride quality. Upgrade them on a stock truck or match them to your lift height.
  • Steering upgrades and sway bars tighten handling, especially with bigger tires.
  • Rear block kits raise the rear on leaf-spring trucks.

We carry suspension from Fabtech, Skyjacker, Bilstein, Zone Offroad, Eibach and more. Lift and leveling kits are specific to model year, drive type (2WD or 4WD) and sometimes engine or trim, so select your vehicle at the top of the page to see parts that fit.

Lift and Leveling Kit FAQ

What is the difference between a leveling kit and a lift kit?

A leveling kit raises only the front, usually 1 to 2.5 inches, to remove the factory nose-down rake. A lift kit raises the front and rear together, from 2 inch spacer kits to 6 inch and taller full suspension systems, for bigger tires and more ground clearance.

How much lift do I need for bigger tires?

As a rule of thumb, a 2 inch level fits up to 33 inch tires on most half-ton trucks, a 3.5 to 4 inch lift fits 35s, and 37s usually need 6 inches or more plus wheel offset changes. Check the tire size notes on each kit, since clearance varies by model.

Will a lift kit affect my ride quality?

Spacer-style leveling kits keep the factory shocks and ride close to stock. Taller lifts that include new shocks, springs or control arms change the ride; kits with quality shocks such as Bilstein or Fox-style units often ride better than stock. Kits that only add spacers to tall lifts can ride stiffer.

Do I need an alignment after installing a lift or leveling kit?

Yes. Any change in ride height changes camber, caster and toe. Plan on an alignment right after the install to avoid tire wear and pulling.

Can I install a leveling kit myself?

A strut spacer leveling kit is a common driveway job for someone with a jack, jack stands, a spring compressor or the right strut removal method, and a torque wrench. Full lift kits with new control arms, crossmembers or drop brackets are better left to a shop.

Will a lift kit void my truck's warranty?

In the US, a dealer must show that an aftermarket part caused a specific failure before denying a warranty claim on that part. A lift can affect claims on suspension, driveline and steering parts if it is found to be the cause. Ask your dealer before installing if warranty coverage matters to you.

Do I need new shocks with a lift?

Lifts of 2 inches or less usually work with factory shocks. Taller lifts need longer shocks so they do not top out at full droop. Most kits over 2.5 inches include shocks or list the matching shocks on the product page.

Are lift kits specific to 2WD or 4WD?

Yes. The same truck often uses different kits for 2WD and 4WD, and some kits depend on engine, cab style or trim level. Select your exact vehicle at the top of the page and read the fitment notes before ordering.

How does shipping work on suspension kits?

Orders of $300 or more ship free to the lower 48; smaller orders pay shipping calculated at checkout. Large lift kits ship in several boxes or by freight; freight items get a discounted freight rate at checkout and are not included in free shipping. Inspect the shipment before signing and report any damage or missing boxes within 48 hours.
